The town of Pouzauges, overlooks the undulating countryside of the Vendée, in western France. It is a picturesque and unspoiled market town built around a 12th century castle.
Despite its unspoiled and rural nature, Pouzuages has all expected modern amenities. The town offers a selection of shops, good sized supermarkets and other facilities such as banks, restaurants and bars. The weekly market is excellent, with colourful stalls setting out their wares in the time honoured fashion.
Pouzauges is famous for its 12th century castle, which dominates the town. Around the chateau are beautiful gardens where you can walk or enjoy a picnic.
There is also an attractive and historic church, the Eglise St Jacques.
The town lies in the highest part of the Vendée, in an area known as the Bocage full of hills, woods and meadows. This agricultural landscape is a joy to explore on foot, horseback or by bicycle.
If you are seeking entertainment, the famous Puy de Fou with its stunning displays, exhibitions and shows is nearby. At night time the son et lumiere shows are truly worth seeing!
Pouzauges is an expanding economic centre, with an increasing labour requirement creating a high demand for property.
Our development is in the heart of the old town of Pouzauges, a short stroll from all amenities.
The project includes 10 quality apartments all designed to cater for wheelchair access, and 2 shop units split over 2 floors.
The apartments would make wonderful homes and be ideal investments.
